Live music in Cabarete, DR

7:00 PM · Sundays 7pm. Locals and travelling musicians gather for the beach's open mic — the house band plays American rock classics and guests sit in (Wanderlog/Google reviews; Half Half Travel north-coast guide).

6:00 PM · Sunday evenings from 6pm. Gentle bachata dancing to live music as the sun sets, with staff on hand to show the steps (Zen Cabarete nightlife guide; GetNomadr).

10:00 PM · Monday night is almost synonymous with karaoke at Voy Voy — kicks off around 10–10:30pm and tables fill fast (Zen Cabarete; KiteDR; Wikivoyage).

Tuesdays are Latin dancing at Ojos/Ojo on the beach strip (KiteDR nightlife guide; GetNomadr). No start time is published — the strip fills from about 9pm.

8:00 PM · Thursday Latin Night upstairs at Ojo (above LAX) — salsa and bachata, starting early by Cabarete standards at around 8pm, with special performances and guest DJs some weeks (Zen Cabarete; KiteDR; Wikivoyage lists Thursday salsa/ladies' night at Lax/Ojo).

Wednesday open mic — the venue's own line is 'Hot Pizza, Cold Drinks and Live Music'; musicians, poets and performers sign up in front of an easygoing local crowd (Zen Cabarete; KiteDR; venue Facebook/Tripadvisor listing). Evenings only — the bar opens 5pm.

Live music every OTHER Sunday, per the café's own business-managed listing — not every week. Sunday hours are 9am–3pm, so sets are daytime.

Friday Night DJ Sunset Sessions are, in the club's own words, 'a fixed item on the social week in Cabarete' (Kite Club Café & Beach Bar presentation). Its full-moon parties are irregular and announced on its Facebook page, so no dates are claimed here.

Sunday open mic, described by two 2026 Cabarete restaurant/beach guides as a local institution drawing musicians from around the world; the venue's Tripadvisor listing also carries Live Music and Jazz Bar features and Restaurant Guru notes live music in the evenings.

No fixed weekly lineup is published. Recent guest reviews document live music on a Saturday night (Nov 2024) and a live jazz band at dinner (Jun 2026) — check with the restaurant ahead.

Friday Latin night per KiteDR's Cabarete nightlife guide (single-guide sourcing — flagged). The bar opens 5pm and runs late on Fridays.
